SPAIN AND PORTUGAL TAKE THE GOLD MEDAL WITH SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Day 1: (Sunday) BOGOTÁ - MADRID

Departure from your city of origin to Madrid. Overnight on board.

Day 2: (Monday) MADRID

Arrival at Madrid-Barajas airport and transfer to the hotel. Free time at leisure. In the late afternoon we will take a panoramic tour of the illuminated Madrid (which can still be done with sunlight during spring and summer) and around the Plaza Mayor. Accommodation.

Day 3: (Tuesday) MADRID

Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic tour of the city that will show us the contrasts that the capital of Spain offers, from the old and traditional Madrid to the most modern and cosmopolitan. We will also visit the Bullring and the mythical Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Free time at leisure. Optionally we can visit the imperial city of Toledo with lunch. Accommodation.

Day 4 (Wednesday) MADRID - SEGOVIA - ÁVILA - SALAMANCA

Buffet breakfast and departure to Segovia where we will see its famous aqueduct. Continue to Avila to admire its walls, before arriving in Salamanca. In the afternoon, visit of the city and its historic centre of great monumental beauty. Overnight stay.

Day 5º: (Thursday) SALAMANCA - SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Breakfast and departure to Santiago de Compostela, a world pilgrimage center. In the afternoon departure for a guided tour of the city with its magnificent Plaza del Obradoiro and its splendid cathedral. Accommodation.

Day 6º: (Friday) SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA - VIANA DO CASTELO - OPORTO

Breakfast and departure to the Rias Baixas, a unique enclave in Galicia, to continue our route to Portugal. We will visit the town of Viana do Castelo, at the mouth of the Limia River and continue to Porto, one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal, on the banks of the Douro River. Lodging.

Day 7: (Saturday) OPORTO

Breakfast. In the morning visit of the city, one of the most beautiful and richest in the country, whose wines are famous throughout the world and where we will visit one of its wineries. Lodging.

Day 8: (Sunday) OPORTO - AVEIRO - FÁTIMA - LISBOA

Breakfast and departure to Aveiro, the Portuguese Venice, known for its canals crisscrossed by colorful boats called moliceiros, which were traditionally used to collect seaweed. Continue to Fatima, one of the most important Marian Sanctuaries and visit its famous Basilica. We will continue our trip to Lisbon. Lodging.

Day 9: (Monday) LISBON

Breakfast and accommodation. In the morning panoramic tour of the Alfama district, Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery. In the afternoon we can optionally visit Sintra and Cascais, towns near Lisbon that stand out for their spectacular villas and palaces. Lodging.

Day 10: (Tuesday) LISBON - MERIDA - MADRID

Today we travel among beautiful landscapes. In the city of Braga we went up in the oldest funicular in the world to the sanctuary of Bom Jesus, beautiful views. We suggest walking down to admire its beautiful staircase. We continue our trip to Galicia; in the Rias Bajas we will visit the historic town of Cambados, including a glass-bottomed boat ride where we will learn how mussels and oysters are produced, with wine and mussel tasting included. After lunch we arrive in Santiago de Compostela. Afternoon visit with local guide in this city visited by millions of pilgrims since the Middle Ages.

Day 11: (Wednesday) MADRID - BOGOTÁ

Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to take the flight back to Bogota.
