Day 1: Budapest
Join us for a horseback adventure from the Tisza River to the Blue Danube! This river, to which Strauss dedicated a sonata, is the second largest watercourse in Europe. It originates in Germany’s Black Forest and flows into the Black Sea. Its delta is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This trek takes you from the floodplains of the Tisza River, a tributary of the Danube, through the sand dunes of the Kiskunság region and the salt plains of Solt, ending on the banks of the Danube.
This itinerary is designed for experienced riders with solid control of extended paces, covering around 40 km per day. Thanks to our Akhal Teke horses—renowned for their endurance and elegance—we can ride long distances. This horse, once ridden by the ancient Magyars during the conquest of Hungary, is known as "the ancient treasure of the East."
