Nothing is more thrilling than a gallop or a horseback ride along the endless beach of Essaouira. Come and discover the vibrant Essaouira, the white and blue city, a well-known seaside destination on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Explore its multicolored medina, protected by the Skala de la Kasbah, an 18th-century seafront fortification designed by European engineers. Old brass cannons line the walls, offering stunning views over the ocean.
Strong trade winds make the city’s crescent-shaped beach ideal for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing... and of course, horseback riding.
We offer an equestrian stay to explore the Essaouira region, with activities suitable for riders of all levels. You'll enjoy a variety of equestrian and non-equestrian experiences, as well as the opportunity to visit the charming city in complete comfort, staying in a beautiful riad in traditional Arab style just a few steps from the city’s main attractions:
• The Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001, is crossed by two main roads: one connecting Bab Marrakech to the ocean, and the other from Bab Doukkala to the port.
• Place Moulay Hassan, a large pedestrian square bustling with people at all hours of the day and evening. This square hosts the annual Essaouira Gnaoua Festival, an eclectic music event mixing the hypnotic sounds of the sintir and qraqeb (traditional instruments played by the Gnaoua people, descendants of African slaves who settled near Erg Chebbi and other areas of the Maghreb) with the music of international artists who began visiting Essaouira in the 1960s in search of inspiration.
• The port, the most photogenic place in the city, with its blue boats docked at the pier, fishermen unloading their catch, selling fish at wobbly stalls, or mending and folding their long red nets.
• The beach, popular with both locals and water sports lovers.
Arrival at Marrakesh airport and independent transfer by taxi to the Supratours bus terminal. Departure by bus to Essaouira (approx. 3-hour trip). Transfer available on request at extra cost. Arrival in Essaouira at the bus station and transfer by taxi to the riad. Dinner on your own and overnight stay in the riad.
Day 2: Essaouira

Breakfast and transfer at 11:00 AM to the ranch for a 2-hour horseback ride. Return to the city in time for lunch (not included) and time to explore the city. Dinner on your own and overnight stay in the riad.
Day 3: Essaouira

Breakfast and transfer at 10:00 AM to the ranch for a 2-hour horseback ride. Free lunch. In the afternoon, another 2-hour horseback ride. Return to the city around 5:30 PM. Dinner on your own and overnight stay in the riad.
Day 4: Essaouira

Breakfast and transfer at 11:00 AM to the ranch for a 1-hour camel ride. Return to the city around lunchtime. Free time to visit the city. Dinner on your own and overnight stay in the riad.
Day 5: Essaouira

Breakfast and full free day to explore beautiful Essaouira. Optional hammam and massage services available (extra cost). Meals on your own and overnight stay in the riad.
Day 6: Essaouira

Independent transfer to Marrakesh airport by bus to the Marrakesh train station, and then by taxi from the station to the airport.
Breakfast at the riad in Essaouira is available from 7:00 AM. Unfortunately, in case of earlier departures, no alternative breakfast will be provided.

It is possible to replace the horseback activities with camel rides or quad biking.

ACCOMMODATION:
The 7 nights will be spent at Riad Wind Palace (or similar), a traditional Arab-Andalusian riad located inside the medina. Just a few meters from the beach and 5 minutes from the souks. It offers guests a panoramic rooftop terrace overlooking the beach, free Wi-Fi, and the possibility to book various excursions.
