Day 2: Delhi – Agra (240 Kms/4–5h)

The city of Delhi is a cosmopolitan capital, a legacy of the eight cities that have succeeded one another over the past millennia. In Old Delhi, the former Mughal capital, you will discover the Red Fort (from the outside) and the Jama Masjid mosque, then stroll through the Chandni Chowk market (shops are closed on Sundays) and visit Gandhi’s house, now a museum in his memory. Drive around India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Residence) and visit the Sikh temple and New Delhi. In the afternoon, departure by road to Agra. Check-in at hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Agra

Departure for a city tour starting with the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays). The Taj Mahal is a Mughal monument built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their 14th child. This magnificent marble masterpiece, a true symbol of love, began construction in 1631 and took 22 years to complete. Over 20,000 workers and artisans from across India and Central Asia, as well as French and Italian decorators, were recruited for the project. Then, visit the Red Fort, built by Akbar in 1565. Originally designed as a fort, it was later transformed into a palace. Visit the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah: the first Mughal building made entirely of white marble and to make extensive use of the pietra dura technique. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Meals: Breakfast included)

Day 4: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (245 Kms/4–5h)

Departure by road to Jaipur. On the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri, an ancient and astonishing capital built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1571 and abandoned after a few years. It is an artistically and architecturally remarkable site that you will discover. The imperial city contains a wide variety of palaces, columned buildings, pavilions, courtyards and ponds, mosques, and caravanserais. Its buildings, both sober and baroque, form an extraordinary synthesis of the most varied architectural styles. Continue the journey to Jaipur. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Meals: Breakfast included)

Day 5: Jaipur – Amber Fort – Jaipur

After breakfast, departure for the visit to Amber Fort. During the Mughal era, the region had to be ready for war at any time. Amber was the residence of the Maharajas. When you see the defensive forts surrounding the site, you can imagine the power of the ruler. Ascend and descend the walls by jeep (if there are more than 4 participants). Visit the palace with its rooms decorated with mirrors and the ancient harem, a true labyrinth. Today, you will visit the textile block printing workshops where you can make your own clothes during the day. The art of block printing: wooden block printing is a manual printing technique, an ancestral skill from Rajasthan, northern India. In the afternoon, visit the astronomical observatory or Jantar Mantar. Jaipur’s Jantar Mantar is a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The monument was completed in 1734. It includes the largest stone sundial in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then, pass by the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), with its red façade, and the "Pink City," a residential and business district. Visit the city with the City Palace, the Maharaja’s palace with its museum of royal garments, ceremonial pavilions, and also beautiful miniatures. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the old city of Jaipur. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Meals: Breakfast included)

Day 6: Jaipur – Shekhawati (170 Kms/4h)

Breakfast at the hotel and then travel to Shekhawati, a region of Rajasthan nicknamed "the open-air art gallery of Rajasthan." It is in these villages surrounded by sand dunes where we find the havelis, homes of wealthy merchants who once thrived on camel trade between India and Pakistan—palatial houses with walls decorated with painted frescoes, true illuminated works of art. Check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the village. A gentle stillness now shakes the village of Shekhawati, which seems almost asleep after the departure of these wealthy families, leaving behind many havelis now almost abandoned. You may be awakened by the cries of the many peacocks that inhabit the village. The peacock is the national bird of India. Overnight at the hotel. (Meals: Breakfast included)

Day 7: Shekhawati – New Delhi (262 Kms/5 6h)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by road to Delhi. On the way, we will visit the Hanuman temple in Narnaul. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Meals: Breakfast included)
