  • 08:00–09:30 Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Reception by the local team and first greetings of welcome.

 

  • 09:30–10:30 Private transfer to community accommodation on the outskirts of Arusha. Journey with views of the volcanic landscape and green hills of the region.

 

  • 10:30–13:00 Welcome at the volunteer's home. Cozy space with tropical garden, common areas and outdoor dining area. Design designed for conviviality, with shared rooms and reflection corners.


  • 13:00–15:30 Lunch on a terrace surrounded by mango and papaya trees. Swahili  dishes prepared with ingredients from the community garden. Served at a round table under a palm roof, accompanied by natural hibiscus juice.


  • 15:30–17:30 Afternoon immersion in the community. Welcome walk through the village with a local guide. Secret visit to an artisan school where deaf children teach local sign language.

  • 09:00–11:30 Guided tour of the local market. Exploration of artisanal products, tropical fruits, fabrics and natural medicine. Exclusive access to an interior courtyard where women sell ancestral cosmetics made with ingredients from the savannah such as neem, shea and hibiscus.

 

  • 11:30–13:30 Self-care  and natural beauty workshop. Hands-on session to learn how to make ointments, scrubs, and oils with shea, baobab, and local clays. Reflection on care as a cultural heritage and ritual of female empowerment.

 

  • 13:30–15:30 Lunch in an open dining room inside a medicinal garden. Dishes inspired by African plants and traditional knowledge. Accompanied by natural infusions and set with traditional songs of the host women.

  • 07:00–08:30 Full-day excursion to the mountainous area of Mount Meru. Early departure from the communal accommodation. Scenic drive by private vehicle to the foothills of Mount Meru, the second highest peak in Tanzania.

 

  • 08:30–11:00 Guided hike with local ranger on a nature trail. A tour through tropical vegetation, endemic birds and natural viewpoints. Interpretation of the landscape and ecosystems by the local guide

 

  • 11:00–13:00 Secret visit to a hidden waterfall. Arrival at a waterfall hidden in the jungle, a sacred place for the inhabitants of the area. Symbolic bath with the accompaniment of a Maasai spiritual guide, as a rite of purification and connection with the earth.

 

  • 13:00–15:00 Lunch in a boma maasai (traditional dwelling) with the host community. Collective preparation of a traditional lunch: vegetables, meats and cereals cooked over the fire. Meals shared with hands and without cutlery, dialogue with Maasai leaders on values, family structure and pastoral worldview.

 

  • 15:00–17:00 Exchange of questions with the community and welcome ritual. Space for intercultural conversation. Participation in a Maasai welcome ritual, with music, dances and words in their language.
